This anniversary outfit hallmarks some of Ludwig’s most coveted drums that date back to the 1930s. Flash Pearl Inlay made its debut as a high-end finishing feature to further personalize and amplify the presentation of your drum set. Utilizing dyed Tupelo and Koto veneers, precision-cut diamond figures are inlaid into arctic white birds-eye maple veneer.
This presentation is made complete with Ludwig’s revered Legacy Mahogany 3-ply shell design. Limited to 20 units worldwide as a Fab Configuration: 14x22 bass drum, 16x16 floor tom, 9x13 tom tom and matching snare drum (sold separately). Each outfit features Ludwig’s 110th Anniversary embossed badge.

1/16" Mahogany Outer Ply, 1/8" Poplar Core Ply, 1/16" Mahogany Inner Ply with 1/4" Solid Maple Reinforcement Rings.
The key to Legacy's classic tone begins with a cross-laminated American Poplar center ply to lend focus to the warm rich low-end "woody" tones of inner/outer Mahogany plies. This unique shell combination is further stabilized by a specially rounded bearing edge with 1" solid maple reinforcement rings.

Historic Fact

Ludwig and Ludwig's 3-ply shell formula was unveiled in 1923; at the time touted as being built "...in accordance with the recognized correct principles used in the manufacture of airplanes." This classic construction evolved into a sound that captured the attention of generations of drummers.
